I'm doing my quarterly check-in ;) We had a great Christmas this year; it all went by so fast & now we are having a few nearly quiet days to relax & try to catch up on a few things. It's currently 11:40 & Chad & I are both on our computers; what a way to bring in the new year, right! It's never been the biggest holiday for us but this is pretty lame! We may up & dance a jig in 20 mins, though; never can tell!
Isaac is now 10 months old. He has had a BIG week. This week he started pulling up by himself, standing by himself for a few seconds, & cutting his 3rd tooth. He is just totally thrilled with himself. He is still "bobble-heading" when he's happy & smacking his lips--and I mean hard!--when he's hungry. He is adorable & sweet as pie. He naps well, plays well, & prefers his mommy to anyone; what's to complain about there?!?! ;0)
Neena is just as big a mess as ever. She's 5 years old & I have to say, it's really funny to remember back to her 2nd & 3rd years; she was so sweet & silly...now she's learning to be a little girl. All the ups and downs of learning responsibility in little things (big to her, of course) like cleaning her room & other chores around the house, being a good, nice big sister, and trying to have fun and learn at the same time, too. I love to sit back & watch her help with Isaac; you can see how much she loves him, but then I have to jump in & save him because let's face it, she's 5. She can't handle babysitting yet ;) But she would like to! She's got a lot of love to give, lol.
And as for this year and what it holds for us?
This is what I plan to be this year: a follower of Christ, a wife to Chad, mom to Neena & Isaac, housekeeper to my house, Director of Children's Choir, Servant at church, College Student (btw, I made an A on my first class last semester!), a Coupon-er!, a friend, a sister, a daughter.
