To-Do List

  1. Christie, you have a job. You should work on it...Pick songs, practice them, write a small skit.
  2. Seriously behind on delivering 2 birthday gifts & 2 Christmas gifts.
  3. And 1 wedding, no, 2 wedding gifts. Dangit!
  4. Clean office/nursery
  5. Transform office into nursery
  6. Learn Bradley Method for natural delivery in 6+/- weeks (12-week course)
  7. Read for fun (even happy things deserve a planned place in time!)
  8. Start working out to be in shape for labor/delivery
  9. Write out music for a song for the student whose senior project you're in charge of
  10. Pack for the hospital
I am not known for my timeliness. I am usually not the world's worst (don't ask my husband, though)...I'm just a 5-10 minutes late kind of person. It frustrates my poor husband because it doesn't matter how early I start getting ready--that's not what's at fault. What I have a hard time with is letting go of "everything else I could be doing" in order to leave. That would mean I would sacrifice precious time I could be using for something else. Not considering, of course, the other 192 minutes give or take a few that I waste on a daily basis doing other things. When I say I would love to see a counselor to help me change some thought processes, I am SERIOUS. I would love to be rescued from some of the boxes in which I'm trapped in the way I see things. But I am starting to find some freedom :) And God was gracious enough to give me a husband who would think I was cute no matter what & would try to be understanding & helpful in spite of my OCD tendencies.

Neena had a good day :) She was a perfect angel at the library--quite an accomplishment for this little ADD princess. Except she also crumpled up a piece of pop tart in my & Chad's bed. And she kept sticking her tongue out at me while I was trying to nap. Why would that bother me if my eyes were shut?? Good question...The girl had NASTY tortilla chip breath. She also had major improvements in her manners with adults; she tanked yesterday while we were at Three Sisters so we had to have a little talk. She seriously turned up the charm today; unfortunately none of the sisters were there to appreciate my good parenting skills that they were questioning yesterday when we left. Note to self: stop by again soon! And while we were there, drumroll, I got a new Vera Bradley purse & wallet!! Happy Birthday to ME! I'm so excited!!

Tomorrow we're scheduled to work in Isaac's room, putting up the beadboard & trim. We'll see how far it goes; I'll report back soon on progress & eventually pictures.
